Data Analyst
Full-time
Responsible for ensuring the integrity of all client databases.
The Data Analyst serves as the secondary technical contact and works in conjunction with the Web Developer to ensure that all database-related tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner for CDS clients. Works directly with Data Entry Representatives on assigned shows.
Essential Functions:
- Database imports, cleaning and database setups as required.
- Develop Data Entry Notes for company wide use.
- QC Databases as part of the Event Team.
- Provide Weekly and Final Reports for clients.
- Provide Custom Reports as needed.
- Provide ongoing support and training to new employees.
- Attend all event-specific and company meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by department manager.
Required Skills:
Must have excellent organizational, customer service, and attention to detail skills as demonstrated by work history and performance. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Individual must have excellent interpersonal skills required to interact with clients, account managers, registration managers, and others at all management levels. Must have the demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations, multi task, and perform within tight time constraints.
Required Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Technical Skills Preferred: Microsoft Access
Education and Experience:
Technical School Certificate, two-year college degree or equivalent industry experience or is required.


Data Processing Supervisor
Full-time
Responsible for ensuring the integrity of all client databases.
Works in conjunction with the Web Developer to ensure that all database-related tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Assists department manager with overseeing, developing and implementing new procedures and improving process efficiencies. In conjunction with department manager responsible for hiring, training, performance reviews, goal setting and assigning/scheduling work to the Data Entry and Data Processing employees. Represents the Data Processing Department at meetings.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the secondary technical contact (after Web Developer’s) for assigned events and clients.
- Database imports, cleaning and database setups as required.
- Ensure that model database is updated with latest information.
- Provide on-call support when assigned events are onsite.
- Develop Data Entry Notes for company wide use as needed.
- QC Databases as part of the Event Team as needed.
- Weekly and Final Reports for clients as needed.
- Develop Custom Reports as needed.
- Inputs data received from mailed and fax registration forms as needed.
- Hold quarterly 1:1’s with employees where goals are reviewed and set.
- Manage time off requests, payroll and Timekeeper reporting.
- Point person for all Data Processing Staff.
- Stay current on new technology and assist manager in moving department forward with new learning and technology.
- Attend all event-specific and company meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by department manager.
Required Skills:

Excellent interpersonal skills are required to interact with clients, account managers, registration managers, and others at all management levels. Must be able to manage to a budget and work with contractors as necessary. Must have the demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations, multi task, and perform within tight time constraints. Five years of supervisory experience is required. Some travel may also be required.
Required Technical Skills:
- Report writing using one or more of the following tools:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Access
- Enterprise Manager (Query Analyzer)
- Technical skills preferred:
- Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 Development and Administration
Education and Experience:
Four-year college degree or equivalent industry experience is required. Five years of supervisory experience is required.


Web Developer
Full-time
The Web Developer is responsible for event database setups and web page development using ASP, PHP, VB.
Each client event is a customized web application with a proven ASP code base and a standard SQL Server 2000/2005 database structure.
Essential Departmental Functions:
- Act as CDS liaison with the client for technical issues.
- Build, test and deploy client web sites.
- Database imports, cleaning and database setups as required.
- Provides leadership and direction to other IS team members.
- Other duties as assigned by department manager.
Essential Show Team Functions:
- Attend all event-specific and company meetings.
- Primary point of contact for onsite staff for assigned events.
- For specified events travel to shows in support of client’s events.
- Provide custom configurations and support for our clients as required.

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and perform multiple tasks simultaneously within tight time constraints.
Technical Skills Required:
- A minimum of 2 years experience developing database driven websites, preferably using Microsoft technologies.
- Web development using ASP/VB Script, PHP, JavaScript, T-SQL, CSS and SQL 2005/2000 server.
- Working knowledge of IIS 5.0/6.0 in a Windows 2000/2003 environment.
- Basic SQL 2000/2005 server administration skills (creating tables, store procedures, using DTS) are a plus.
- Knowledge and use of Web Services a plus.
- Experience with AJAX programming a plus.
- Use of PrimalScript or other scripting environment and plus.
- Familiarity with the software development life cycle using a Source Control product is desired.
Education and Experience:
Four-year college degree or equivalent industry experience is required. Web site team authoring and team programming experience is preferred. Some travel may be required. This is a full-time, salaried position.
